The Rules

“A few strong instincts and a few plain rules suffice us”

ALL RULES ARE SUBJECT TO THE "REASONABLE PERSON" INTERPRETATION AND COMMON SENSE, NOT FOR THE PICKING OF NITS OR JERKY BEHAVIOUR!

1. No discussion/posting of any illegal activity or threats of non-fantasy violence. No posting of links or material concerning real death. ABSOLUTELY no mention, inference, or reference to anyone under the age of 18  This is obvious, no need to elaborate.

2. All posts should be labeled with the appropriate (and colourful!) topic icons and a warning at the beginning of the message with any relevant subject matter. For example, if your post had a picture that contained a shooting and nudity, the first thing in your post should be the "Shooting" and "Nudity" tags that you will see with the smileys. This will help us in allowing all we can without leaving anyone out, and protect the members who may wish not to see some things. If you don't see an icon you would like to use, just write it in bold and send Sedira a request for it; takes but a few minutes to make :)

2. No posts that attack, insult, "flame", defame, or abuse members or non-members. This should be obvious too; we all know how to behave and how to treat people. Violators will be flogged, whipped, skinned alive, and likely boiled in tar; then censured. Don't be a jerk - we as a community of nice people can be far meaner than you alone can be. And believe me, you will be alone.

3. No links to advertising of paysites is permitted outside the Producer Section unless permission is given from a moderator. Feel free to PM or email your beautiful and wonderful moderators at any time!

4. No posts of copyrighted material other than your own without permission. Only copyrighted material which you own or for which you have
permission to post, may be hosted on our boards. Information copyrighted or owned by any individual or entity other than the person posting should not be posted on the message boards without the consent of the owner. Links to pirated videos are also prohibited. "Fair Use" allows for the posting of a 'short' excerpt (maximum of 10% at lower resolution) from a larger work for the purposes of critique or review.

5. No password trading. No sharing of passwords to paysites or passworded content. Solicitations for such passwords is also prohibited.

6. No SHOUTING.  Remember, using ALL CAPITAL LETTERS in posts is considered yelling, rude, and annoys the hell out of people; plus it is difficult to read.

 7. Do not post offline personal contact information (ie. your home address, phone numbers etc.) and do not ask for personal information from others.  Modify your member profile in the User Control Panel at the top right corner of the forum to set privacy settings for your account.  Use of full names is strongly discouraged.

8. No duplicate posts.  To delete accidental duplicate posts, login first, then open the message you want to delete, then select the Delete Post button on the bottom right hand side of your post (looks like an X).

9. Report posts that violate the common-sense rules and guidelines by selecting the 'report post'  button (looks like an '!') on the bottom right corner of the post to notify the administrator. We will act on the report as quickly as we can.  Do not reply to the offending post as that typically only encourages the poster.

10. Lend a helping and welcoming hand. A bit of compassion can go a long way toward helping people with life's challenges and reaching out can help alleviate feelings of loneliness. We're all different, but we're really all the same. At sometime or another, we all need or want help or simply someone with whom we can share our burdens or successes.

 11.  Don't be afraid to share. Don't be afraid to share your fears/desires or even work you may not think is any good. If you're rejoicing about the results of a recent event or contribution, share that too.

12.  Welcome new members. When newcomers arrive, say "hi" and welcome them. Help new folks "learn the ropes" about how to find information and resources, save time, and how to get involved. The creator of this site was new to this not too long ago; it was the people who welcomed her and made her feel welcome that brought us here!

13.  If at any time you have a question about the rules, feel free to ask - feel free and encouraged to propose any changes to the community; this board is about *US* not me.

14.  THIS BOARD AND ITS SUBJECT ARE FANTASY ONLY, ABSOLUTELY NO MENTION, REFERENCE, OR INCLUSION OF REAL LIFE VIOLENCE WILL TOLERATED. THIS AND UNDERAGE SUBJECTS ARE NOT WELCOME
